| Courtney Putnam is a Licensed Massage Practitioner
(LMP) and a Certified Reiki Practitioner (CRP). She received
her massage training at the Brenneke
School of Massage in Seattle. She is licensed by the Washington
State Department of Health, is certified by the National Certification
Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), and is
a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
Courtney is also a Level 2 Certified Reiki Practitioner (CRP)
who has been practicing Reiki in the Seattle area since 2002.
She received her Reiki training and certification from Polly
Klein, Reiki Master and founder of Tonglen
Healing Arts. For the past five years, Courtney has offered
Reiki treatments to both people and animals.
In addition to her bodywork endeavors, Courtney is also a
writer and visual artist. She earned an MFA in Creative Writing
from Antioch University Los Angeles in 2003, where she focused
on the art and craft of poetry writing. She has a background
in multicultural American literature, creative writing, expository
writing, and editing. Courtney is also a mixed media collage
artist whose work
often explores the deep human-animal connection with bird
images often central to her creations.
Courtney participates in the Roosevelt
Neighborhood Art Walk once a quarter, when she shows (and
sells) her original mixed media collage pieces. Prints and
